Isobel Caldwell was born at Galston on the 14th, and christened on the 18th of September 1808.
From the OPR records relating to her brothers, It can be inferred that Isabella spent part of her early life, at least from 1810 until 1815, in Newmilns. At the time of her marriage in 1828 however, she was described as being 'in Galston'.
Isabella or Isobel Caldwell was married to William Yeudall at Galston on the 27th of June 1828. At the time, she was more than four months pregnant with her son, Abram Yeudall.
It is stated on Isabella Caldwell's gravestone that she died on the 9th of June 1878. This fact is corroborated by her death certificate. She died at Henrietta Street, Galston, at 4.15 p.m., aged 69 years. (Her age at death is given on the family gravestone as 70). She died of paralysis, a condition from which she had been suffering for two years, as certified by William Rodger, surgeon. The informant was Robert Yeudall, her son.

Isabella Caldwell's death certificate in 1878 provides the further information that her parents were William Caldwell and Elizabeth Breckenridge, both of whom were deceased by that time.

Isabella Caldwell had at least one sister and four brothers. These were John, born on the 12th of March 1803 and baptised on the 18th of at Galston; Anne, born on the 29th of October 1806 and baptised on the 16th November 1806 at Galston; William, born on the 14th of October 1810 and baptised publicly on the 28th in Loudoun Parish; James, born on the 7th of November 1812 and baptised publicly on the 22nd in Loudoun Parish; George, born on the 19th of August 1815 and baptised publicly on the 27th in Loudoun Parish. In connection with the Loudoun entries, the parents were stated to be 'in Newmilns'.
Anne (or Annie) was married to a tailor named Robert Gilmour in 1825. The relevant entry in the Loudoun OPR states:
'Gilmour & Caldwell - 22d Jany Robert Gilmour and Ann Caldwell both in this Parish gave in their names and were regularly proclaimed and Married'
Robert and Ann had at least one daughter, Isabella Caldwell Gilmour, who married James Clarkson, a commercial traveller. James and Isabella had at least one daughter, Isabella Gilmour Clarkson.
