Cecilia Jane Yeudall was born at Barr Street, Galston on the 21st of September 1874.

Cecilia Jane Yeudall, a lace designer, of Barr Street, Galston, married David Maxwell Young, a joiner (journeyman) of Hallriggs, Loudoun, on the 13th of August 1897, at the Masonic Hall in Galston, after Banns according to the Forms of the Church of Scotland. Both parties gave their ages as 21, although in Cecilia Jane's case at least, this was an approximation. The groom's parents were recorded as John Richmond Young, a '(Retired) Shepherd' and Margaret Young MS Maxwell. David's father would later be recalled as 'John Young, Cattle Herd (deceased)' at the time of David's death in 1929. The witnesses were William F. Maxwell and Annie P. Yeudall. These were presumably cousins of the groom and bride respectively.

A son, John Richmond Young, was born to Cecilia and David on the 12th of September 1900, at Garden Street, Galston. David, who was still a joiner (journeyman) at this time, was the informant.

At the time of the 1901 census, 'David M. Young' and 'Cecilia J. Y. Young' were living in a dwelling at 1, Garden Street, Galston, having two rooms of one or more windows. Both were entered as being 26 years old. David was entered as having been born in Loudoun and he was still employed as a joiner (journeyman). With the couple was their infant son, John R. Young, aged six months.

A daughter, Martha Allan Yeudall Young, was born on the 1st of May 1904, at Garden Street, Galston. David, who was still a joiner (journeyman), acted as the informant.

A second daughter, Margaret Maxwell Young, was born on the 4th of June 1913 at Dunraven House, Dunlop Street, Stewarton. David was once again the informant and was by now a 'joiner (master)'.

Cecilia Jane Young, married to David Maxwell Young, a building contractor, died at 8.00 am on the 3rd of April 1921, at 21, Bank Street, Irvine. She was entered as 49 year of age. It was certified that she had been suffering from a malignant disease of the liver for three months. The informant was David M. Young, the widower.

David Maxwell Young, a joiner and building contractor, widower of Cecilia Jane Yeudall, died at 8.00 am on the 7th of May 1929, also at 21, Bank Street, Irvine. He was entered as 54 years of age. It was certified that he had been suffering from apoplexy for fourteen days. The informant John Richmond Young, his son, who had been present.

David and Cecilia's elder daughter, Martha Allan Yeudall Young, a housekeeper (spinster) aged 25 and resident at 21, Bank Street, Irvine, was married to John Woodrow Craig on the 16th of April 1930 at St Inan's Church, Irvine, after Banns According to the Forms of the Church of Scotland. John was a commercial traveller (bachelor) aged 31 and resident at 1, Glasgow Road, Kilmarnock. His parents were recorded on this occasion as John Woodrow Craig, a grocer and provison merchant (deceased) and Jessie Craig MS Ferguson (deceased). The officiating minister was Alec. Macara Jr, Minister of St Inan's Parish, Irvine and the witnesses were Alex. Aird, of 11, Hill Street, Kilmarnock, and the bride's younger sister, Margaret Maxwell Young, of 21, Bank Street, Irvine.

This sewing machine formerly belonged to Cecilia Jane Yeudall and has in recent years been restored by her great-grandson.
